About Harvard Business School Club of India

The HBS Club of India was founded in year 2009 and has transformed itself from an informal to a more professional, sustainable organization which has delivered more than 65 alumni events in conjunction with the Harvard India Research Center, Harvard South Asia Initiative and other Harvard affiliates.

The new team consists of a strong mix of recent and senior alumni, from MBA and Executive Education programs, who are extremely collaborative, dedicated and invigorated to serve as strong advocates for our HBS alumni community to:

  • Bring the Harvard Business School brand to national forefront around leadership that makes a difference at a time of real economic, social and political inflection in India
  • Further strengthen the club value proposition and quality of alumni activities across major cities in India

Mission

The mission of the HBS Club of India is to advance the mutual welfare of HBS and alumni/ae in India by:

  • Providing opportunities for alumni/ae to remain connected to the School and to each other
  • Encouraging life-long learning, intellectual enrichment, professional growth and social interaction
  • Providing opportunities for alumni/ae to meet and serve as advocates, helping to promote and elevate the school’s stature within the community
  • And attracting the world's most talented individuals to Harvard Business School

Donations & Sponsorship

Donations

We seek to create a corpus of donated funds to ensure the longevity of the club operations. The annual interest income received from the corpus of capital donated to the club is used to fund the ongoing activities of the club each year in a predictable manner. Donors, if willing, are recognized on this website and mentioned at appropriate times during various Club communication activities. The following program is application for donations:

  • Silver Honor Roll: Rs. 2 lakhs and above and less than Rs. 5 lakhs
  • Gold Honor Roll: 5 lakhs and above and less than Rs. 10 lakhs
  • Distinguished Stewards: Rs. 10 lakhs and above

Sponsorship

We have ~1000 alumni in India, all of whom are graduates of HBS and leaders in the community, representing a broad spectrum of industries and functions. In addition to recognition on this site, our sponsors are mentioned in relevant emails sent to members and showcased during our sponsored events. There are a two main ways to become an event sponsor:

  • Financially support an event
  • Providing your facilities, products, or services to the Club for various events
